This multiple exposure from 1948 shows some of the shops of the time. Of the signs featured, only one of these businesses remains. Well sort of. The Jordan's you see here is not the one you know today on West Broadway but its predecessor Jordan's Rugs, in its original location at 2536 Granville Street, now the site of the equally "far-east" themed Bombay Company. The store specialized in hand-knotted carpets.
Also visible is the 'Risty' sign from the Aristocratic, located across the street on the site of present day Chapter's.
