The Way We Were: Granville Street Bridge

For today's trip down memory lane, it's back to 1954 and the construction of the Granville Street Bridge. The bridge which stands today is the third in a line of bridges which allowed Vancouverites to visit our fabulous neighbourhood. The first was built in 1888, replaced in 1908 and then in 1954 by the current bridge. So if you thought roadworks on the bridge were a modern day problem. Think again. Apparently it's what we do.
